The Royal Canadian Mint dips into the archives to bring you another
reproduction of an original sketch from sculptor/coin designer Emanuel Hahn:
his hand-drawn map of Canada concept for medallions commemorating the
1939 Royal Visit.
Struck on the same 5 oz. thin blank as 2024’s Emanuel Hahn’s Original Sketch:
Parliament coin, this 99.99% pure silver collectible features a re-creation of
more than 1,600 lines from the pencil sketch, including its lettering guidelines
and even the paper folds that mark Hahn’s map of Canada, which traces the
Royal Tour’s itinerary from sea to sea – A Mari usque ad Mare. 

➢ Hahn’s inscription reads “REGEM ET REGINAM CANADA SALVAT”
and is reproduced here; it was later corrected to “REGEM ET
REGINAM CANADA SALVTAT” (“Canada salutes the King and
Queen”).
➢ More than 1,600 lines were carefully re-created from the original
sketch, including the paper folds, and all are struck incuse to mimic
the appearance of an old pencil sketch.
➢ An antique finish gives it an aged appearance that reflects the
design’s historical significance.
➢ Comes with an art card that shows the original sketch.
