Description
The follow-up to 2024's Heraldic Landscape: Birds of Canada, this selectively gold-plated 5 oz. 99.99% pure silver coin presents a heraldic-inspired vision of Canada, told through its fauna. Thirteen animals, each chosen for its heraldic or historic significance to its province or territory, lead the eye on a symbolic journey across the nation — from the Arctic down to the Pacific, through the mountainous west, across the prairies, into the mighty forests, and ending on the Atlantic coast.
Created by Cathy Bursey-Sabourin, the renowned heraldic artist behind the modern rendition of the Arms of Canada, it is a portrait of unity in natural diversity.
