On each coin’s obverse, the “W” mint mark is the identifying symbol of the Mint’s Winnipeg facility, which produces Canadian circulation coins—and those of many other countries—since 1976; it also represents the innovative spirit and craftsmanship that have defined half a century of Canadian coin production.

To commemorate the 50^th anniversary of its Winnipeg facility, the Royal Canadian Mint proudly presents this set of non-circulation coins honouring five decades of minting excellence, represented by the “W” on each coin’s obverse. This is the only “W” mint mark set for 2026.

·         These coins are designated as collectibles, they’re not meant to be found in your pocket change—and with the exception of the $2 piece, which is also available as a Special Wrap Roll, you’ll only find them in this set.

·         Instead of a classic $2 coin, this set contains a double-dated version that commemorates the 30^th anniversary of the Toonie, which has been struck in Winnipeg.
